Katalin Stáry started her dancing career in 2004 at the Budapest Dance Theatre, where she spent eight years. She was then a member of the Inversedance Zoltán Fodor Company for two years. In 2014, she was accepted to the Szeged Contemporary Ballet, where she danced for four years. She is currently a freelance dancer. In the course of her career, she has danced with a number of Hungarian and foreign masters and choreographers.

She has been teaching modern dance for children and adults for years. She is qualified to teach preventive spine training and stretching and also has teaching credentials. She obtained her degree at Eötvös Loránd University’s teaching major.

Katalin Stáry has been teaching at the Hungarian National Ballet Institute since 2020.
